CHANGE THE LIFE OF A CHILD

A CASA volunteer:

• must be 21 years of age
• must successfully pass screening and background check
• receives an initial 30-40 hours of training
• must attend 12 hours of in-service training each year
• generally serves from 5 - 15 hours per month
• serves on at least one case per year
• conducts an independent investigation on behalf of each child
• consults with CASA staff attorneys regarding each case
• submits contact logs and monthly updates to the CASA office
• attends all pertinent hearings, reviews or meetings for each case
• makes a two-year volunteer commitment

Jackson County Classes begin May 19th, 5:30pm at Hope Haven School

Orientation in Lawrence County - May 27th 5:30pm - 8:30pm.
